Speak to ME!!!

with

Daniel Cameron

How can I tackle a monologue without feeling alone? How can I make the journey from a private to a public moment? Using new pieces of writing this workshop will explore the technical and creative aspects of working with speeches through character work, observation and improvisation as we begin to give life and form to original characters and text.

Daniel is an actor, writer and director. As an actor has worked with York Theatre Royal, Citizens Theatre, Oran Mor and Teatro Elsinor Milan. In 2016 he was awarded the BAFTA Scotland New Talent Award for Acting Performance.

Movement & Unlocking Creative Ideas

Join Movement, dance artist and producer Andi Brogan for a session to keep bodies strong and unlock ideas in the creative process.

Andi’s session will explore improvisation in movement, creation of choreography, and participants will have the chance to create their own piece of work too.

Andi started dancing (dressing as Bob the Builder and hitting a plastic hammer off the stage) when she was 4 years old, and her love for dance has continued ever since.

After leaving high school, she went to the University of Glasgow to study Art History, completing the degree with a 2:1 in 2018. At uni, whenever she was stressed, she would look up dance courses and knew that was what she had always wanted to do. And so, after graduating, she began full-time dance training at West College Scotland before gaining a first-class degree from the Scottish School of Contemporary Dance in 2022.

During her training, she took part in youth dance programmes with YDance, Scottish Ballet, and was a member of Shaper/Caper’s Youth Advisory Board in 2021/22. Since then, she has been working as a freelance dance artist with dance companies and on independent projects throughout Scotland.

This includes Shaper/Caper, Scottish Ballet, YDance, CityMoves Dance Agency and Scottish Dance Theatre. Her sessions focus on the joy of movement and creativity. Last year, she trained as a Forrest inspired yoga teacher and enjoys bringing elements of Yoga to her creative sessions. She has experience delivering sessions to participants with various support needs.

Living within Our Circadian Rhythms amongst the unpredictable Creative World

With

Ewa Cross

As creatives we often have to work longs hours, weekends and balance family life and jobs that give us financial  stability which can lead to our bodies being out of balance with their  own rhythms and can lead to tiredness and less productivity.

Join Ewa for a practical session so you can look at how  you can connect to your own natural rhythm  and understand and balance the load and make it a little lighter.

Ewa is a registered Associate Nutritionist (AfN) and currently works within the NHS, specialising in supporting older adults health through nutrition. Her primary passion lies in promoting healthy ageing and understanding how lifelong dietary habits contribute to overall well-being and disease prevention.

She recently completed the Nutrition in Culinary Practice course at Leith's School of Food
and Wine, a prestigious culinary institution in London aimed at integrating nutritional science
with practical cooking skills.

With a strong background in dance, she originally aspired to pursue a career in the field, but
an injury redirected her path. However, her connection to movement and performance
remains, both personally and professionally. With children actively involved in dance, acting,
and movement, she is dedicated to supporting the creative industry. She strives to share
evidence-based nutritional insights to help performers optimize their health and enhance their
physical and mental performance.
